About The Role As a Mechanical Systems intern, you will support design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and processes related to Nuclear Power Plants, including Legacy Plants, AP1000® Plants, and other advanced reactors. You will report to the Mechanical Systems & Equipment Manager and be located at our Cranberry location. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer, May - August 2027. Key Responsibilities Perform thermal, thermal/hydraulic, and piping network engineering design and analysis for with assistance of a qualified co-authorWork both independently and collaborativelySupport engineering personnel in multiple design and analysis effortsIdentify problems and propose solutions to projects and tasks assignedCommunicate with your mentors, leads, and manager on your work's progress, status, technical issues, and scheduleWork and collaborate with other personnel regarding your responsibilitiesPerform work within established scope, budgetary, and schedule requirements Qualifications: Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, or nuclear engineeringCompleted Sophomore year of collegeGeneral knowledge of engineering and application of first principles, uncertainty treatments, and engineering tools through initial college classesInterest in systems and component design and analysis, including fluid systems and interfaces with instrumentation and control We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
