Summer Intern - Accounting

About the role

Are you an accounting student eager to gain hands-on experience in a corporate environment? Join us as an Accounting Intern and build your knowledge through real-world experience while working alongside experienced accounting professionals. You will gain exposure to key accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with teams across multiple companies and gain experience with various accounting systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Interns will collaborate with various groups within multiple companies and gain exposure to different accounting and financial systems.

Qualifications

• Rising Junior or Senior enrolled in a 4-year Accredited College or University pursuing a degree in Accounting.
• Overall GPA 3.0 or above.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Requirements

• Physical requirements: analyze and interpret data, communicate, remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday; frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices; move about the office and around the facility; occasionally travel to other sites, including out-of-state, for business purposes; frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
• Work environment: generally performed in an office environment; occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas with moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions; noise level typically quiet but may be occasionally exposed to loud noise levels.
• Travel: Minimal travel required (up to 10% of the time, domestic). Intern must reside in the Houston or surrounding areas during the duration of the internship.
