Careers at Wiser Wealth Management Back to Careers Summer Financial Planning Internship Location: Marietta, GA Duration: 10 – 12 weeks | Summer 2027 Compensation: Paid | Full-time | $20 per hour About Us Wiser Wealth Management is seeking a passionate and driven junior or senior undergraduate student majoring in financial planning, finance, or a related field to join our hands-on internship program for the Summer of 2027. As a fiduciary, fee-only wealth management firm, we provide comprehensive financial planning and investment management services to help our clients achieve their financial goals. What You’ll Gain Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings to gain insight into professional client interactions. Software Training: Get experience on industry software for the wealth management industry. Hands-On Experience: You’ll do more than just shadow – you’ll actively contribute and learn valuable skills. Mentorship: Work closely with financial advisors who are passionate about helping you succeed. This internship will focus on three important sections within our firm: Financial Planning Learn the steps of the financial planning process.Shadow advisors in different client meetings.Assist in preparing for client review meetings.Build a financial plan and present it to the Planning Committee. Operations / Client Service Gain insight into how we deliver an exceptional client experience.Review client data across multiple platforms for compliance auditsContribute ideas to improve client service through a formal summer-end proposal project. Investments Learn the basics of investing including portfolio construction and asset allocation.Audit client accounts, models and allocations.Work alongside the investment team to assess and explain portfolio decisions. The last 2 weeks of the internship will be spent on three capstone projects focusing on Client Service, Financial Planning and Investments. Qualifications Currently enrolled junior or senior majoring in Financial Planning, Finance, or a related field.Strong communication and organizational skills.Passionate about helping others reach their financial goals.A growth mindset and willingness to learn in a collaborative environment.
