About the role

We are hiring for one remaining Summer Camp Director position in Brooklyn for Summer 2026. NY Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is seeking a Summer Camp Director in Brooklyn, NY to lead our youth baseball and softball camp program during the summer season. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing daily camp operations, managing staff, ensuring camper safety, and delivering an exceptional experience for campers and families.

Responsibilities

• Lead all daily camp operations and logistics
• Supervise, motivate, and develop a team of 10-15 camp coaches and staff
• Create and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive camp culture
• Ensure campers receive a high-quality experience every day
• Conduct daily staff meetings and communicate expectations clearly
• Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and families
• Manage attendance, reporting, and camp communications
• Address camper, parent, and staff concerns professionally and effectively
• Execute NY Mets Camps operational standards and procedures
• Foster accountability, teamwork, and professionalism among staff

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of leadership or staff management experience
• Experience working with children and/or youth programs
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background and reference check
• Reliable transportation
• Comfortable using technology to support camp operations
• Available Monday–Friday throughout the camp season
