Summer Camp Counselor Seasonal

About the role

Autumn's Gate is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Camp Counselor for the summer season. This is a full-time seasonal position offering a starting wage of $18-$22 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Leading a specific activity, project, or initiative you have specialty experience in
• Ensuring campers are engaging in safe behavior and abiding by the "Barn Rules" when interacting with horses and farm animals
• Leading a team of up to 7 campers aged 6-13
• Helping organize activities and supervising campers in a safe environment
• Building rapport and camaraderie with your team, fellow counselors, and the camp generally
• Maintaining a positive, upbeat, and energetic attitude (even if you're not feelin' it)
• Making sure EVERYONE has an incredible camp experience!

Requirements

• Over the age of 16
• A fun and energetic customer service focused attitude
• Enjoys working with and mentoring kids
• The ability to work with a team and create camaraderie
• Reliable transportation and time management
• Experience as a camp counselor or experience working with kids (a plus)
• Experience in any specialty such as crafts, athletics, music (a plus)
• Experience riding or working with horses or other animals (a plus)

Qualifications

Genuine care about making a positive impact on the world, striving to be a role model, and taking pride in giving one's all to everything done.
