Summer Academy Team Building (ECLIPSe) Coach - UNH TRIO Upward Bound
Duties/Responsibilities
Lead 16-person student groups once a week in communication, group process and healthy decision making through experiential team building & hands-on activities: this is a part-time position that requires coming to UNH one evening a week to coach two sessions (w/dinner and staff check-in prior).
Design weekly curriculum and programming based on staff and student feedback and the ever changing needs of the student groups as they work their way through the group development process.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of an AA/AS/BS/BA program in relevant field: Education, Outdoor Education, Counseling, School Counseling or Social Work
- OR experience working in Experiential Education or Residence Halls/Student Life
- Experience in direct instruction of high school students or in experiential education/team building
- Desire to help disadvantaged youth succeed
- Sensitivity and maturity level to successfully work in a summer academic program with high school aged students
- Able to interact with diverse constituencies including program & UNH staff, parents/guardians, and students
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check
Additional Qualifications
- Experience participating in a TRIO, or similar, pre-college program
- Experience working with students from low-income backgrounds, multiethnic backgrounds and/or who are potential first-generation college graduates

Job Description
The 2026 six-week summer program is scheduled to begin on Sunday, June 21 with an end date of Friday, July 31.
Compensation
Pay Range $25/hour
Please be advised that this position is supported by external sponsor funding. As such, continued employment in this role is contingent upon the availability of those external funds.
