Summer 2027 Software Developer Internship

This 10-week Summer 2027 Internship Program offers practical hands-on experience in key technical focus areas, including Full-Spectrum Cyberspace Operations, Data Science/Machine Learning/AI, and High-Performance Computing.
About the role
Selected interns will work closely with experienced mentors on Praxis’ in-house software project(s), focusing on:
- Building hands-on experience with modern software and technologies
- Learning best practices in the software development lifecycle and team collaboration
- Creating and delivering professional-grade demos and presentations
This internship provides meaningful internal research and development work, offering insight into a career at Praxis.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of education toward a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or similar Engineering degree (strong candidates from other majors with at least 1 year of Computer Science coursework will be considered)
- Demonstrated experience and/or training in software development and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, Rust, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Demonstrated experience and/or training in software design/development best practices and methodologies
- Passion for solving complex software engineering problems, continuous learning, and collaborative teamwork
- Interest in developing engineering soft skills like demoing, presentations, and public speaking
- US Citizenship required

Pay
The likely hourly rate for this position is between $25.50 - $34.50, depending on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
