Responsibilities

  • Work with design, manufacturing, and quality to continue optimizing materials and processes while providing ongoing support to existing configurations on the production floor.
  • Support activities such as parameter development, material/process selection, drawing reviews, manage qualification test campaigns, interact/audit external vendors, etc.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
  • Completed at least one year of full-time coursework post high school graduation at the time of application (obtained sophomore standing).
  • Available to work full time for a minimum of 15 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework.
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Interest in Blue Origin's mission.

Qualifications

  • Experience in materials engineering or materials science.
  • Experience with chemical engineering.
  • Experience working with thermal protection systems (TPS).
