Internship overview

The Legal team is seeking rising 3Ls (Winter 2027 or Spring 2028 graduates) for the Enterprise Internship Program, an 11‑week, role‑aligned experience where students work directly with a manager and team on meaningful business initiatives. In addition to hands‑on project work, participants gain exposure to executive leadership, participate in Huntington’s innovation project, and build connections that may lead to future full‑time opportunities.

Legal internship overview

The employment law team is looking for a 3L to assist with legal research, preparing memos, reviewing and interpreting legal documents while supporting attorneys and paralegals as needed. The Legal Intern will have the opportunity to observe various legal proceedings, including court arguments, depositions, mediations, and client meetings. Within the Legal team, interns gain exposure to internal and external counsel. A focus for the law clerk intern is introductions and networking with several premier law firms across Huntington’s footprint, where Huntington is a prominent client.

Basic qualifications

  • High School graduate
  • Enrolled in JD program at accredited law school, preferably going into the 3L year
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities and/or work experience within a law firm, clerking, or doing legal research
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office® applications

Preferred qualifications

  • Course(s) of study applicable to the area of business
  • Ability to maintain professional composure in a dynamic work environment that often requires management and completion of multiple tasks
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and ability to apply logical/critical thought processes when developing solutions
  • Ability to display a positive business presence with management and external personnel
  • A strong interest in financial services
  • Relevant Majors: JD with undergraduate degree in finance or business

Exempt Status: Non‑exempt (eligible for overtime pay)
