Opportunities Available

As an Electrical Engineering intern, you will be placed in one of the following teams:

Advanced Quality (AQE)

AQE interns work on engineering projects related to the development of new products, focusing on human factors engineering, risk management, statistics, reliability engineering, design verification, and validation, including customer interaction. They ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.

Process Quality (PQE)

PQE interns collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product sustainment, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for production issues. They focus on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement, using tools like CAD, LabView, and validation activities.

Supplier Quality (SQE)

SQE interns work closely with suppliers to ensure components and manufacturing processes meet Stryker’s standards. They collaborate with internal teams, meet with suppliers, and use technical and business skills to influence supplier performance.

Quality

Quality interns ensure product quality from development to post-market, evaluating risks, meeting customer needs, and addressing complaints. They work with cross-functional teams and require strong communication, problem-solving, and technical skills.

Research & Development

• New Product Development: R&D interns identify future product needs, research technologies, and develop new product concepts using tools like CAD and FEA.
• Product Engineering: R&D interns improve existing products by researching technologies, customer feedback, and performance data, using tools like CAD, FEA, and root cause analysis.
• Test Lab: Test interns partner with Test Engineers and R&D to validate product designs through prototyping and quantitative testing, ensuring products meet technical specifications.

Manufacturing

Manufacturing Engineer interns collaborate with Design and Operations to improve manufacturing lines through fixture development, process enhancements, lean manufacturing principles, and ergonomics and safety improvements.

Majors Targeted

Electrical Engineering, or related majors.

Pay

$20 min hourly wage – $35 max hourly wage, sign-on bonus, 11 paid holidays annually, and either paid corporate housing or a living stipend, dependent upon hiring location.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field; must remain enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the internship.
• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above (verified at time of hire)
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate and build relationships.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.
