Summer 2027 Intern - Accounting

About the Role

As an Accounting Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting key accounting and finance functions, including account reconciliations, journal entries, financial analysis, and quarterly reporting. You'll also assist with audit activities and contribute to data analysis, reporting automation, and process improvement initiatives using modern accounting and analytics tools.

Work Location

This position is an in-office role located in West Bend, WI. No remote opportunities are available at this time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general accounting duties, including data entry, account reconciliations, and journal entries
• Assist with financial analysis and quarterly reporting
• Provide support for internal and external audits
• Assist with data analysis, reporting automation, and process improvement initiatives using digital accounting and analytics tools
• Participate in volunteer initiatives, networking/social events, and more

Qualifications

• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) at our West Bend location during the summer break (May – August)
• Task-oriented and able to work with limited supervision

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Graduating Winter 2027 or Spring 2028)
• GPA of 3.5 or higher
• Interest in leveraging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve accounting and financial processes
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), with advanced Excel skills (Power Query, PivotTables, data analysis techniques) preferred
