Summer 2027 Geology Internship

About the role

Permian Resources is offering paid summer internship opportunities to college students to support career development while advancing company objectives. Interns receive hands‑on experience related to their field of study, work on specific projects, and are paired with a manager and mentor for technical guidance. The program includes training, field tours, volunteer and networking opportunities with executives, and culminates in a presentation showcasing the intern’s work and experiences.

Geology Internship – Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of geologists, reservoir, and geoscience specialists to integrate data sets, including reservoir behavior and well performance.
• Perform advanced mapping, log analysis, and play fairway analysis.
• Conduct core analysis and integrate seismic, operations, and public data into reservoir models and geologic interpretations.
• Contribute technical expertise and communicate findings within a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis for any employer.
• Pursuing or have completed a degree in Geosciences or a related field.
• Current college level: Sophomore through graduate student.
• Expected graduation: Fall 2028 through Spring/Fall 2029.
• Available to start the internship in mid‑late May 2027.
• Minimum of 12 continuous weeks’ availability for the internship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (lower GPAs may be considered with extenuating circumstances).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a performance‑driven, team‑oriented environment.

Schedule

The internship begins in mid‑late May 2027 and requires a minimum commitment of 12 continuous weeks.
