About the role

Fox News Media operates the FOX News Channel (FNC), FOX Business Network (FBN), FOX News Digital, FOX News Audio, FOX News Books, the direct‑to‑consumer streaming services FOX Nation and FOX News International, and the newly announced FOX Weather platform. FNC is the number one cable network and has been the most‑watched television news channel for 20 consecutive years; FBN ranks among the top business channels on cable. Owned by FOX Corporation, FOX News Media reaches 200 million people each month. The FOX Internship Program offers an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience while interning for one of the world’s biggest sports, media, and entertainment companies. Interns participate in real‑world projects that provide valuable work experience and leadership skills. The Technical Operations team offers a unique experience, exposing interns to Control Room/Studio Operations, Transmission, Lighting, Editing, prompter systems and software, studio setup, teleprompter, and other studio positions. This internship is offered on‑site in New York.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in real‑world projects that provide hands‑on experience.
  • Work with the Technical Operations team in Control Room/Studio Operations.
  • Gain exposure to Transmission, Lighting, and Editing.
  • Work with prompter systems and related software.
  • Assist with studio setup, teleprompter operation, and other studio positions.

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree for the length of the program.
  • Current class standing of sophomore (second‑year) or above.
  • Maintain a strong academic record.
  • Be committed and available to work for the entire length of the program.
  • Have access to own housing and reliable transportation to/from the internship site.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current events and/or business news (required for interview consideration).
  • If accepted, provide a copy of an unofficial transcript or letter from adviser/registrar showing proof of enrollment.

  • Knowledge of current FOX programming and talent.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor when interfacing with talent and executives.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Ability to work well on teams and collaborative efforts.
  • Knowledge of the company and the news/media industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of current events on a national scale.
  • Knowledge of software systems relevant to desired placement (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, iNews, Avid, FinalCut Pro, Dalet).
  • Self‑starter attitude and proactive nature.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Pay

$20.00 per hour

Schedule

General Application Deadline: Sunday, January 10, 2027; Summer Session 1: Monday, June 7, 2027 – Friday, July 30, 2027; Summer Session 2: Monday, June 21, 2027 – Friday, August 13, 2027; Scheduled Weekly Hours: 32–40 hours per week (schedules vary based on department needs and availability; we work around class schedules).
