Summer 2027 Fluid Systems & Propulsion Engineering Internship - Undergraduate

Responsibilities

• As part of a hardworking team, interns work directly with Blue engineering teams on projects in support of our business units.
• Fluid Systems Intern projects may involve many aspects of applied fluid / mechanical engineering including design, analysis and test of fluid components and systems, propulsion systems and mechanical systems.
• During your internship experience, you can expect to gain hands‑on, real‑world experience; receive mentorship and feedback from mentors and managers; and participate in events to learn about other parts of the organization.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
• Completed at least one year of full‑time coursework post high school graduation at the time of application (obtained sophomore standing).
• Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong interest in Blue Origin’s mission.

Skills

• Experience with MATLAB or Simulink (desired).
• Experience with programming languages including Python, C/C++ (desired).
• Experience with MCNP or similar radiological analysis tools (desired).
• Relevant internship/co‑op and academic project experience that demonstrates development of both technical skills relevant to the internship as well as leadership qualities (desired).
• Hands‑on project experience (desired).
• Co‑curricular engagement (desired).

Pay

Hourly compensation: $32.00

Schedule

Full‑time for 15 weeks (not concurrently enrolled in coursework).
