About the role

Ignite Your Finance Career with SPP as our Summer 2027 Financial Analyst Intern! The Financial Analyst Intern will support SPP's Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team while gaining hands-on experience with financial analysis in the energy industry. The intern's primary project will involve supporting the annual budget preparation and monthly close processes, along with opportunities to contribute to SPP's western expansion and other financial analysis projects. Throughout the internship, the intern will assist with data preparation, variance analysis and explanations, and financial model updates. They will also gain experience evaluating the financial performance of SPP projects and lines of business and supporting financial planning and strategic decision‑making. In addition to the analytical work, the intern will build communication and technical writing skills by drafting budget commentary and preparing presentation materials for director‑level review.
