About the role

This internship is designed to assist with executive decision making by analyzing and reporting on segments within the corporation, including commercial and consumer banking, investor reporting, data analytics, and various support areas. You will gain exposure to the balance sheet and income statement while understanding the main income and expense drivers of the business. Responsibilities

  • Perform data analysis in response to specific business questions.
  • Present results of analysis using sound written and oral communication skills.
  • Provide analytical support to the finance team by performing ad hoc financial and statistical analysis.
  • Create financial and management reporting and variance analysis.
  • Work well with others to achieve goals; display teamwork and willingness to lead or follow as needed.
  • Interact with various FNB business partners, including Retail, Commercial, Private Banking, Treasury Management, Wealth/Brokerage, Mortgage, and Insurance.
  • Participate in FNB-related events and trainings scheduled for all Summer Interns.

Learning Objectives

Over the course of the internship, you will gain hands-on experience working for a dynamic organization while learning about the financial services industry. You will work directly with assigned business leaders on projects, participate in networking events and meetings, and engage in corporate training opportunities to further your professional development.

Position Overview

As an intern at F.N.B., you will apply concepts from your finance or economics studies to see how banks operate, satisfy the needs of businesses and consumers, and enhance leadership skills while working with high-performing executives. You will learn about interest rates, key financial drivers, credit skills, regulatory compliance, and more. Possible positions include support areas such as Finance, Marketing, HR, Project Management, and Accounting.

Qualifications

  • Officially enrolled in an undergraduate bachelor program with a major in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or Information Technology.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • No prior work experience required.
