Summer 2027 Capital Markets Intern

About the role

Join our team at FNB’s Capital Markets internship to gain hands-on experience in Loan Syndications (including Real Estate and Commercial & Industrial), Interest Rate Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, Public Finance Underwriting, and Debt Capital Markets. You’ll apply finance, business, and economics knowledge to real-world projects on the trading floor while networking with industry professionals. At the end of the summer, you may interview for a full-time position in the bank’s development program.

Responsibilities

• Shadow Derivatives and FX sales professionals on weekly activities.
• Help prepare pitchbooks for client presentations.
• Work on projects with Syndications, Derivatives, Debt Capital Markets, FX, and Public Finance Underwriting teams.
• Use Bloomberg terminals for research and presentation data.
• Assist in preparing write-ups for economic events and news.
• Participate in FNB events and trainings for Summer Interns.

Learning Objectives

• Gain hands-on experience in a dynamic financial services organization.
• Work directly with business leaders and professionals on projects and assignments.
• Participate in networking events and corporate training to support professional development.

Position Overview

As an intern at FNB, you’ll apply classroom finance and economics knowledge to real bank operations, enhance leadership skills with high-performing executives, and learn about interest rates, credit risk, regulatory compliance, and key financial drivers. Positions may include support areas such as Finance, Marketing, HR, Project Management, and Accounting.

Position Requirements

• Officially enrolled in an undergraduate bachelor’s program with a major in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or Information Technology.
