Summer 2026 Research Assistant

About the role

The Summer research assistant will work on marine energy powered aquaculture system. The student will do literature reviews, open-source data analysis, and design a suitable wave energy converter. The student will conduct numerical modeling analysis and compare different configurations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews on marine energy systems
• Perform open-source data analysis related to marine energy
• Design a suitable wave energy converter
• Conduct numerical modeling analysis

Requirements

This is a part-time hourly position.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering)
• Experience with marine energy systems or similar fields
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Basic knowledge of numerical modeling techniques

Skills

• Proficiency in data analysis software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
