About the role

The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will support a variety of activities related to the development, optimization, and sustainment of manufacturing processes. The intern will work closely with manufacturing, quality, design, and test engineering teams to gain hands-on experience in a production environment while developing practical engineering and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with and assist engineers in the conduct of various engineering assignments
• Carry out basic work instructions to understand the fundamentals of the company and learn new things
• Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of engineers
• Complete assigned tasks on time
• Gather and assemble data for engineers
• Assist in research in a particular field as required
• Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers
• Assist engineers with appropriate design details
• Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs, and practices
• Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Engineering student with some progress toward an engineering degree
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to build a strong network
• Diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn
