About the role

Sugarloaf Mountain Corporation/Carrabassett Valley Police Department is accepting applications for the position of full-time Police Officer.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and investigate crimes in the rural area of the Town of Carrabassett Valley which includes the Sugarloaf Ski Resort.
• Respond to alarms and overall security for Sugarloaf Mountain Ski Resort.
• Investigate criminal and traffic matters.

Qualifications

• A high school graduate.
• A valid driver’s license with a good driving history and no criminal record.
• Military experience, an Associates Degree or greater, or certified Maine Criminal Justice Academy graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Pass a background check.
• Pass a written, oral, and physical agility test.
• Pass a medical, psychological, and polygraph examination.
• Submit information about the Maine Criminal Justice Academy physical agility test and/or Phase 1 of their training program if applicable.
