What You Bring to SAM

• High School Diploma
• Ability to travel for extended periods of time
• Work outdoors under the full range of weather conditions
• Walk for extended periods over irregular terrain while carrying and/or employing any of the full range of surface geophysical and surveying equipment
• Carry and/or employ any of the full range of surface geophysical and surveying equipment, the weight of which is typically less than 30 lbs.
• Pick up and carry equipment, tools or supplies weighing up to 50 lbs. for short distances and assist others to do the same
• Load and unload such items into and out of vehicles, storage areas, etc.
• Remove and replace manhole lids and covers weighing up to 50 lbs., with assistance
• Survey experience preferred
• Military experience is a plus

Your Impact at SAM

• Absorb marked utilities, structures, and various control points on plans and maps and in the field
• Perform operator level maintenance on assigned company tools and equipment as required
• Auxiliary in the implementation of approved traffic control plans
• Actively work toward obtaining the skills in the certification program required for advancement
• Employ assigned equipment to accurately record data of marked utilities, structures, and various control points in the field
• Operate vacuum truck and related tools and equipment such as a jackhammer, pogo-tamper, concrete saw, compressor blower, vacuum hose and air lance and hand tools
• Drive commercial motor vehicles
• Perform other tasks as assigned
