Substitute Teachers for Daycare

About This Role

We are seeking qualified Substitute Staff to provide backup teaching services for various child care centers in Monmouth County. Our centers cater to children of diverse ages, ranging from 6 weeks to 12 years. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining a respectful classroom culture that promotes a safe and productive learning environment.

What You'll Do

• Adhere to center policies and state regulations in the classroom.
• Maintain a healthy environment through proper hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Ensure a well-managed classroom with a positive atmosphere.
• Pursue personal professional development to continually enhance quality.
• Candidates must be able to lift 40 pounds, engage on the floor with children, be active on the playground, and work outdoors in varying temperatures.

Requirements

• Pass a background check.
• Medical examination with Mantoux results.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to work collaboratively with others.

Essential Skills

• Strong communication, both oral and written.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• A high level of energy, with a genuine passion for working with children.
• Familiarity with child development principles.
• Outstanding leadership, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
• CPR and First Aid certification for infants and children (preferred but not a requirement).
