Closing Date: 10/09/2026. Effective Date(s): 2026-2027 school year. Reports To: Principal/Vice Principal. Job Goal: To enable each child to pursue his/her education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of the regular teacher.

Qualifications

• A regular New Jersey teaching certificate or a substitute teacher's certificate issued by the County Superintendent preferred.
• Successful prior experience as a classroom teacher.
• Demonstration of familiarity with school, philosophy, program and policies.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Requirements

• New Jersey resident or willingness to relocate.
• Controlled substance testing and successful completion of criminal history background check are required of all applicants offered employment.

Pay

• Substitute Teacher - County Certificate: $150 per diem rate
• Teaching Certificate: $175 per diem rate
• Substitute Aide Classroom Rate: $19.60
• Substitute ABA Aide Rate: $24.70
• Substitute LLD Aide: $21.00
• Substitute Lunch Aide Rate: $25.55
