Substitute Teacher (St. Paul and Minneapolis Area)

Hiring bonus eligible. Hourly wage range: $21.00 - $26.15.

About the role

We are seeking a Substitute Childcare Teacher to join our team at New Horizon Academy in the St. Paul and Minneapolis metro area. Substitutes will work at schools in St. Paul, Minneapolis, Maplewood, Arden Hills, Lino Lakes, Stillwater, Woodbury, and Roseville.

• Minimum of 16 qualifying semester credits or a CDA to be considered teacher-qualified under MN Rule 3
• Ability to work 7am-4pm, 8am-5pm, or 9am-6pm a minimum of three days a week
• Willing and able to travel up to 20 miles to different schools within the metro area
• Positive work ethic and a team-centered attitude
• Willingness to learn and grow as an educator
• Enjoy working with children

Previous childcare experience preferred, but not required.

Requirements

• Meets or exceeds state qualifications for the position
• Previous experience in Early Childhood Education or related field of work
• Must meet position qualification requirements as outlined by the state department guidelines
• Can satisfy the Applicant Background Study required by state regulations
• Can provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States
• Physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations
