Substitute Teacher (per diem)

Responsibilities
- Provide instruction in a variety of subject areas
- Engage in data-driven instruction and meaningful assessment practices
- Adapt instruction and materials to meet the individual needs of students
- Collaborate and communicate with other team members in addressing the needs of the whole child
- Use technology to support and facilitate meaningful learning experiences
Key Competencies
- College graduate
- Experience working with Special Education population, teaching license a plus
- Experience in an independent school environment preferred
- Strong ability to incorporate technology into instruction
- Exceptional written, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
- Able to handle a fast-paced environment
- Passion for Riverview’s mission and the field of special education
Other Requirements
- Suitable background check (CORI, SORI, DCF and fingerprinting)
- Satisfactory references
- Legal authorization to work in the US
- CRP/AED/Standard First Aid certified or ability to obtain certification
Pay
Hourly, non-exempt. Pay range: $20- $30 per hour
Skills
Candidates who bring advanced expertise or highly specialized skills may be eligible for compensation above the posted range.
