This is a substitute position, district-wide (PreK-12).

Reports to the building principal. Characteristics of the ideal candidate:
- Passionate about caring for and helping children
- Effective verbal, written, and electronic communicator
- Capable of integrating technology resources into curriculum and instruction
- Able to maximize student effort and success both academically and socially
- Exhibits a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students and colleagues
Responsibilities
- Able to organize and prioritize daily schedule and duties
- Manage the classroom in a positive manner and keep students engaged, on task, and collaborative
- Perform any other duties as assigned by a Supervisor / Administration
Requirements
- Minimum one year of college completed for non-certified applicants
- Must be fingerprinted per NYSED Procedures
Limitations apply for length of employment of uncertified teachers as per the Codes, Rules and Regulations for the State of NY Title 8 CRR-NY 8-5.4.
Pay
Per diem substitute teachers receive $130.00 per full day (*includes teaching assistants).
