Pay
- Full Day rate: $125
- Half Day rate: $62.50
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of successful experience working with children.
- Must meet one of the following:
- Associate degree or higher; OR
- Completion of at least two years (60 credit hours) at an accredited institution of higher education; OR
- Successful completion of a state-approved assessment test.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful classroom environment.
- Implement lesson plans and instructional activities prepared by the absent teacher.
- Provide instruction to students in assigned subject areas.
- Maintain established classroom routines and procedures.
- Monitor and manage student behavior in a fair and consistent manner.
- Take reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Administer assessments as directed.
- Review daily plans and schedules with the building administrator or designee.
- Consult with the building administrator before implementing procedures not specified in lesson plans.
- Supervise students during assigned instructional and non-instructional periods.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by law, school policy, and administrative procedures.
- Assist with clerical duties as assigned.
- Follow all school policies, rules, and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
Work is performed primarily in a classroom setting and may involve standing, walking, monitoring student activities, and supervising students in various school environments.
