About the role

Irvine Chinese Immersion Academy is the first Public Charter School approved by the Irvine Unified School District. We are the only tuition-free Mandarin dual-immersion program that adapts the progressive immersion model in Orange County, California. Our goal is to prepare students to become global citizens through the development of bilingualism, biliteracy, and cross-cultural competence. We are seeking innovative and experienced educators to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Teach Mandarin language and culture to students.
• Implement the progressive immersion model curriculum.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational programs.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback.
• Participate in professional development activities.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Valid California Teaching Credential OR Emergency 30 Day Substitute Teaching Permit.
• Current Daily Rate: $200/day (over 4 hours), $120/day (less than 4 hours).
• Long Term Rate: $220/day (full days), $120/day (half days).
• Student Teachers: No need to apply here to be hired as a substitute while student teaching. Contact the administrator at the site you are student teaching at.
• Must scan and attach the following documents to your EdJoin application: Credential Copy, Letter(s) of Recommendation (2 Letters), Resume.
