Substitute Teacher - District Sub

About the role

This is not a traditional substitute position where you choose the days, sites, and subjects/grades. The District Substitute Teacher plays an essential role in supporting student learning by providing consistent, high-quality classroom instruction in the absence of the regular teacher. This position requires strong reliability and professionalism.

Schedule

This position requires a 5-day per week commitment. The daily assignment will be selected by Human Resources and can be at any school site and any subject/grade.

• Ensure instructional continuity for all students
• Adapt quickly to different classroom environments
• Provide consistent, high-quality classroom instruction

Requirements

• Must have previous substitute experience
• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent attendance and broad availability

• CTC screenshot of current California Teaching Credential or Emergency 30-Day Substitute Permit (Certificates are not acceptable)
