Substitute Teacher - Day to Day

Job Summary

In this role, you will step into the classroom when full-time teachers are absent, ensuring that high-quality learning continues without interruption. Your primary responsibilities will include following prepared lesson plans, maintaining a safe and positive classroom environment, and managing student behavior effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain classroom control and foster a positive learning environment.
• Follow the absent teacher's lesson plans and daily schedule.
• Ensure student safety by supervising the classroom, hallways, and other designated areas.
• Leave concise notes or feedback for the returning teacher regarding student behavior and progress.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to pass a Department of Justice (DOJ) fingerprint clearance.
• Valid 30 day substitute permit.
• Completion of a Bachelor's degree.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (Note: As per the Executive Order N-3-22 , applicants with a Bachelor's degree can apply for a substitute credential, however, they still need to meet the Basic Skills requirement. Processing time is dependent on Santa Clara County and the Commission of Teaching Credentialing procedures and requirements.)
