Naples Classical Academy is a Hillsdale College Member School.NCA's mission is to train the minds and improve the hearts of students through a classical, content-rich curriculum that emphasizes virtuous living, traditional learning, and civic responsibilityResponsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:Substitute teachers work on an on-call/per diem/as needed basisReports in person to the school building to provide face-to-face instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans provided by the absent teacherFollow teaching plans with skill and fidelityCreates a classroom environment that is safe, orderly, conducive to learning, and consistent with the mission values and virtues of the schoolMaintains established procedures of the school and classroomComply with all relevant school policies and state and federal laws and regulationsAdhere to the school’s dress code as outlined in the employee handbookManage a classroom in such a way as to create an atmosphere characterized by order, respect, wonder and joyCultivate good habits among students through explicit instruction and personal exampleQualified candidates will meet the following requirements:High school diploma or equivalent requiredHigher education preferred Ability to work on-call or as neededExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with classical, liberal arts education and the ability to hold students accountable to a high standard of conductAll selected candidates for employment must clear background checks through the Florida Clearinghouse.
