Substitute Teacher Assistant - Per Diem - Gluck Child Care Center

About the role

This is a Casual/Per Diem position located at our Scripps Gluck Child Care Center near the Torrey Pines area. This position helps cover PTO, LOA, and any additional department needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist our Teachers with the care, development, and supervision of young children.
• Lift a child weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Visually supervise children playing.
• Hear a child's call for help and respond physically to a child's needs.
• Provide Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED certification through American Health Association.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with young children.
• Must be able to lift a child weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to visually supervise children playing, hear a child's call for help, and respond physically to a child's needs.
• Preferred: Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED certification through American Health Association.
• Preferred: Six month's experience in a childcare setting working with young children ages 3 months to 6 years old.
• Preferred: 12 Child Development or Early Childhood Units.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Visual supervision skills.
• First aid and CPR knowledge.

Pay

The Position Pay Range is $25.00-$29.29/hour.

Schedule

This position is Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm.
