About the role

The Substitute Teacher Assistant is dedicated to providing essential support in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. The Substitute Teacher Assistant fills in during staff absence, staff vacations, and in times of high client census.

A Snapshot Of What You'll Do

• Provide a positive, safe, stimulating, and inclusionary learning environment
• Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities
• Assist in recognizing, adapting teaching strategies, and addressing the individual needs of each child
• Collaborate with the lead educator to maintain open and effective communication with parents and families

Qualifications

• National Early Childhood Credential (CDA/NECC)
• Successful completion of the Florida Department of Children & Families 45-hour Child Care Training in early childhood education
• Current CPR and First Aid certification

Pay

$17.50 per hour

Schedule

This is an as-needed position (not a full time position) to fill in during staff absence, staff vacations, and in times of high client census. Work hours will be scheduled between 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday (on an as-needed basis).
