Substitute Teacher All Grade Levels
Position Description
Trinity Valley School is seeking qualified and enthusiastic substitute teachers for all grade levels (Early Childhood through Upper School) and Athletics/PE. Substitute teachers will maintain a productive classroom environment in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring continuity of instruction and care of students.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Report to assigned division and check in with office staff.
- Take attendance.
- Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher.
- Accomplish curriculum objectives and goals outlined in lesson plans.
- Manage classroom effectively to encourage student participation.
- Minimize distractions and maintain a cohesive and consistent learning experience for all students.
- Provide effective and appropriate supervision of students.
- Ensure adherence to all TVS procedures and policies.
- Exemplify a professional attitude with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Uphold a strong commitment to confidentiality.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skill Requirements
- A strong candidate for the Substitute Teacher position will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in education.
- Flexibility and critical-thinking skills.
- General knowledge of several subjects.
- Full support of the four main objectives of the TVS Mission Statement.
- Ability to adapt plans to specific classroom.
- Previous classroom experience.
