Substitute Teacher Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide supervision and coverage in classrooms as needed
- Provide general campus support in the main office, classrooms, cafeteria, or other campus spaces
- Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and parents to ensure student success
- Implement positive behavior interventions and support (PBIS) and other behavior management strategies
- Be able to effectively manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment
- Be able to use technology and multimedia resources in the classroom
- Be open and receptive to feedback and coaching
Substitute Teacher Qualifications & Skills
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
