About the Role

Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to maximize the learning experience of students with special needs in academics, interpersonal skills, and activities of daily living by implementing district-approved curriculum. Responsibilities include documenting teaching and student progress, addressing students' specific needs, and providing a safe and optimal learning environment.

Qualifications

• State Certification as a Special Education Teacher.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of Special Education principles, theories, testing, and methods to maximize the educational experience of students with special needs.
• Comply with applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
• Use computer network systems and software applications as needed.
• Organize and coordinate work effectively.
• Communicate effectively with students and parents.

Skills

• Proficiency in Special Education strategies and interventions.
• Familiarity with educational technology and software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Pay

$125 daily rate (non-certified) / $135 daily rate (certified).
