Substitute Sign Language Interpreter

Qualifications

• Hold an ASL Certification
• Be fluent in ASL
• Hold NH certification as an educational interpreter or eligibility with completion of an educational interpreter training/preparation program
• Hold RID/NAD licensure of at least level III or receive a passing grade on the EIPA assessment

Responsibilities

The educational interpreter is primarily responsible for facilitating communication among students and parents who speak a language other than English. The educational interpreter provides interpreting and as well as additional support services to students and parents who need assistance with the English language.
