Substitute School Nurse

About the role

Mahomet-Seymour CUSD #3 is accepting applications for a Substitute School Nurse to provide nursing services to students in the absence of the regularly assigned school nurse.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and specialized health procedures in accordance with applicable laws, physician orders, and district procedures.
• Monitor students with diabetes and provide care in accordance with their individual diabetes care plans.
• Provide first aid and other health-related services to students.
• Assess student health concerns and determine appropriate follow-up or referral.
• Respond to health emergencies and implement appropriate emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
• Communicate with parents/guardians, school staff, and health care providers as appropriate.
• Follow district health policies, procedures, and applicable Illinois requirements.
• Perform other health-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid and registered Illinois R.N. License.
• School Nurse Certification also preferred.

Pay

$40-50 per hour.
