Substitute Paraprofessional (Instructional)

Under the direct supervision of a certified staff member, assist certified professional staff with students in the classroom to meet instructional goals and objectives, and to free certified professional employees from non-proessional duties. This is an on-call, as-needed position; applications are accepted throughout the school year.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
• To substitute for a Special Education Aide, applicants must hold a Special Education Program Aide License through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups of students
• Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class
• Supervise students in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, and/or during before and after school
• Support students with special needs by following teacher directions (Special Education Aide Substitute)

Pay

$18.00 per hour
