Substitute Nurse

Job Title: Substitute School Nurse (High Schools) About the Role Substitute nurses will provide coverage for our full-time school nurses when they are absent.This is a per diem position, with no guaranteed hours or benefits. Nurses will be paid on a daily rate basis. Responsibilities - Administer first aid and emergency care to students and staff - Manage chronic health conditions (e.g., diabetes, asthma, allergies) - Administer medications as prescribed - Maintain health records and documentation - Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers - Implement health plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) - Promote health education and wellness initiatives Requirements - Must be licensed as a registered professional nurse in Illinois OR possess an Illinois PEL with a School Nurse Endorsement - Experience in pediatric, public health, or school nursing preferred - Ability to work independently and handle emergencies - Strong communication and organizational skills Pay $250 per day**
