Substitute Nurse

About the role

The Harker School is seeking substitute nurses to provide coverage for our full-time school nurses when they are away. This is a flexible, as-needed opportunity, with assignments ranging from a few hours to several days across our K–12 campuses. The substitute nurse plays an important role in supporting the health, safety, and well-being of our students.

For full-day assignments, substitute nurses will receive a one-hour lunch break.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily responsibilities of the school health office
• Evaluate and care for students who become ill or injured
• Administer medications as appropriate
• Occasionally provide care to employees

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN)
