Substitute Instructor

About the role

Tennessee College of Applied Technology Oneida is seeking substitute instructors to monitor groups of students in various technical college programs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor groups of students in an assigned technical college program
• Record attendance
• Direct group activities as assigned
• Provide instructional support to students
• Distribute and collect daily assignments

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Evidence of two (2) years’ work experience
• Technical Certificate or Diploma (Preferred)
• Substitute Teaching Experience (Preferred)

Qualifications

• Ability to manage a classroom environment with both post-secondary and high school students
• Good character, mature attitude, and stable personality
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to be flexible and adapt plans to specific training programs

Skills

• Knowledge of the program/industry (preferred but not required)

Pay

Hourly Rate: $30.00

Schedule

• Day Classes: Between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. (EST); no more than 6 hours per day
• Evening Classes (Jamestown): Between 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (CST)
• Evening Classes (Wartburg): Between 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (EST)
