Substitute Instructional Assistant III - Special Education #8477

Substitute on-call position available at various locations. Work hours as needed.

Requirements

• Willingness to work with difficult students
• Experience or willingness to work in Emotionally Disturbed (ED) or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classrooms
• Must pre-qualify by providing one of the following:
  • A passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (testing date must be April 2005 to current). Schedule a testing appointment
  • Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
  • Official transcripts demonstrating completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units)
  • Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher)
• If your degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, you must have coursework evaluated for equivalency to a degree/transcripts from an accredited United States college or university
• Possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain, a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license
• Willingness to be trained in and use non-violent intervention, behavior intervention, and physical restraint techniques
