Qualifications

• Preferred: 48 college credits or passing score on Para-Pro Praxis
• The ability to work effectively with students at all intellectual levels and to establish and maintain good rapport while working closely with other teachers and administrators
• Fingerprinting is required for criminal history background clearance
• This position requires a completed background check for the Long Branch Public School District, as well as a negative TB test result taken within the past two years

Physical Requirements

Instructional Assistants must be able to move, bend, squat and kneel while assisting students.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Building Principal upon arrival at school at least 15-30 minutes before the official school opening
• Review schedules to be followed during the teaching day
• Provide instruction as outlined by the classroom teacher
• Follow all school policies and procedures
• Assume responsibility of ensuring appropriate behavior of students under your supervision
