What You Will Do
- Shape the lives of children aged 5-13 through enrichment and care.
- Collaborate with a team of professional staff to enhance children's and families' well-being.
- Implement planned enrichment activities.
- Safeguard children during academic and recreational activities.
- Provide academic support and guidance for children's homework assignments.
- Monitor and address individual and group dynamics, tracking academic and behavioral issues.
- Communicate with parents as needed.
- Attend field trips with children, supporting their growth and safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
What We Look For
- At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or a college degree preferred.
- A minimum of six months of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of three months of relevant experience with a college degree.
- Interest or experience supporting children’s development in literacy or the arts.
- A positive and professional attitude in all interactions.
- Effective teamwork skills.
- Maintain cultural competency, especially with regards to working with people of different backgrounds.
- Professional proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
