Substitute Group Leader

What You Will Do

• Shape the lives of children aged 5-13 through enrichment and care.
• Collaborate with a team of professional staff to enhance children's and families' well-being.
• Implement planned enrichment activities.
• Safeguard children during academic and recreational activities.
• Provide academic support and guidance for children's homework assignments.
• Monitor and address individual and group dynamics, tracking academic and behavioral issues.
• Communicate with parents as needed.
• Attend field trips with children, supporting their growth and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

What We Look For

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or a college degree preferred.
• A minimum of six months of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of three months of relevant experience with a college degree.
• Interest or experience supporting children’s development in literacy or the arts.
• A positive and professional attitude in all interactions.
• Effective teamwork skills.
• Maintain cultural competency, especially with regards to working with people of different backgrounds.
• Professional proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
