Substitute Fitness Specialist - Terre Haute, IN

Essential Duties

• Affirms health status of members, providing exercise and wellness advice tailored to each individual
• Teaches group exercise classes, accommodating various fitness levels; adheres to safety guidelines
• Supervises fitness center operations, using education and training to address member inquiries about health, fitness, and wellbeing
• Maintains positive relationships with members through ongoing rapport-building
• Collaborates with other staff to assist in cleaning equipment and other facility areas as needed
• Complies with NIFS policies outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Performs additional duties as directed

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: Degree in a health-related field preferred, or working towards one; relevant work experience required; experience with older adult clientele preferred
• Certifications: Fitness-related certifications (CPT, CSCS, etc.) recognized; current CPR/AED/First Aid certification required

Requirements

• May be required to submit to and successfully pass a thorough background check and/or drug screen
• May be required to complete and pass a TB skin test
