About the role
Educator Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.
Responsibilities
- Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
- Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure children are enjoying themselves while meeting program goals through positive guidance and effective classroom management.
- Monitor the Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
- Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children.
- Early Childhood Education units preferred.
- CPR certification preferred.
- AUSD proficiency test.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- California requirements.
- Tuberculosis test and health screening.
- 18+ years of age.
- Proof of High School diploma/GED.
- LiveScan fingerprint background check completed.
- 48 college credits or bachelor's degree or pass a para educator exam.

Pay
$21-24 per hour (based on education and experience).
Schedule
ON CALL: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 2:30pm-6:00pm
Wednesday: 11:50am-6:00pm
Location
Candidates should be open to being placed at any of the schools we partner with in Alameda Unified School District. We cannot guarantee preferred school locations as our openings are determined by the needs of our programs.
