Substitute Dentist

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide dental hygiene students during clinical procedures to ensure compliance with best practices.
• Mentor and instruct students, providing feedback to support clinical skills development.
• Monitor student performance and patient outcomes to maintain quality standards.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to foster a supportive learning environment.
• Stay current with dental practice advancements and integrate new techniques into clinic protocols.
• Read, interpret, and assist students with radiographs, landmark identification, and pathology.
• Conduct comprehensive dental examinations, provide pathology consults, and make referrals as needed.
• Maintain a safe, hygienic, and well-organized clinical environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school.
• Current state dental license in good standing.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of contemporary dental practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively mentor students.
