Substitute Daycare Worker

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Substitute Daycare Provider to fill in for regular staff on an as-needed basis. In this vital role, you will ensure the continuous safety and nurturing care of our children (toddler through preschoolers). Your responsibilities will include active supervision, performing routine care tasks (feeding, diapering), positively managing classroom behavior, and implementing planned educational and recreational activities.

Candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to young children, including active supervision, routine care tasks, and implementing educational and recreational activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to pass a background check
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of early childhood development and education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Working Conditions

All employees of the Parish are engaged in ministry and closely tied to the Pastor in the exercise of his ministry and obligations to the church. Working on weekends, evenings, and some holidays may be required. You will be exposed to religious ceremonies, conduct, and speech, including Roman Catholic Christian prayer and liturgical celebrations, and will be required to adhere to established dress codes and conduct standards.
