Substitute Custodians

Substitute Custodians – new hourly rate: $19.50 per hour starting January 2, 2025.

Responsibilities

• Perform general custodial work including sweeping, dusting, mopping, and washing of building entrances, floors, walls, stairwells, classrooms, rest rooms, locker rooms, sanitary fixtures, windows, interior glass, woodwork, chalkboards/smartboards, desks, room furnishings, and drinking fountains, as well as cafeteria and kitchen areas.
• Move and/or stack furniture, desks, tables, chairs, or equipment within the building as required for various activities.
• Climb ladders and scaffolding as work requires.
• Maintain work area in a clean and safe condition.
• Understand and follow written and/or oral instructions.

Requirements

• General cleaning experience preferred.
• Must pass a physical examination.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must earn a Black Seal Boiler License within one year of employment.
